Is it normal?

I've noticed recently when I accelerate to 80-85-90mph my car shakes and shudders more than it used to when I bought it in 09. I guess over time things wear down and mechanically aren't as smooth as they used to be.

But I wonder what could be the problem? Does the guibo or something related to the differential need replacing?

It used to be that I'd go to 90mph and there'd be minimal shake in the car. Now when I do it, it shakes nearly as hard as a washer.

It has 86,542 miles now.

Could be anything from needing an alignment to bad tires, even a slight bend in a rim can cause vibrations.

I would start with the simple stuff before diving in real deep.

I have the stock Rays sports. And my tires have maybe 30K on them. Hankook Ventus v12. Tires still have tread and by all inspections wheels look ok, except some curb rash on surface but no visible warping. But that's great info though. Makes sense because going straight to differential is too quick but I wonder what else it could be. I have been tricked and bamboozled by Beshoff before last Spring, so I'm asking around first before I take it to a shop.

On the Beshoff case, every time I took my car there it came back with some minor problem that they conveniently offered to fix. First my
car came back with inactive door locks, next visit it comes back with dead headlamp bulbs, then parking lights, then dead stereo, then dead 3rd rear brake light, then a blown rear strut, then new scratches appear on my roof. After each visit something happens to my car.

I wonder why these minor problems didn't crop up before I became a Beshoff customer and then all of a a sudden these problems miraculously "appear." I'm no longer a Beshoff customer but it bugs me what's up with my well cared for car.

thanks for the knowledge Urban.

I had a small bend in my front rim and the car drove perfect at low speeds but once getting up to 80 it would start to get steering wheel wobble so I dedcided to have the rim fixed and guess what wobble gone, now I can go up to140 with no wobble.

That's the only reason why I said look small before going big.
