Bose cd/radio fix

I have been having intermittent problems with my Bose head unit sound going out. CD would play but sound would fade out then come back on. I got a tip for this fix. Replace the radio fuse. 5 days and counting and no more problems. Dealer could never help me with this so I went to justanswer.com paid a few bucks and got an Infiniti tech to diagnose and recommend the fix.

Just so you know, that isn't a permanent fix.

Mine started doing this but only with the CD playing, I lose sound from the drivers side speakers but it comes back if I take a sharp turn as if a connection is loose.

Does not do it at all when listening to the radio

Not complaining as the system has last 155k miles

Yea, changing the fuse has helped me a couple times. But as NFSP said, the fix is only temporary. Every so often the problem with rare it's ugly head and I would have to go pull the fuse once again. Oh well...

This issue sounds like the beginning of the end. Me and many other members with a 1st gen G35 had been thru "Blose" h/u and a/c controller problems. Discussed on this forum quite often. Time to upgrade to aftermarket head unit.

Its been happening again, argh. Sound does not stay off as long. Will have to pull the fuse again. I can hear the aftermarket calling.

Well, its going out again, getting the dredded cd error code.
What after market head unit is a good one to install? Any reccomendations of brand and who can install.

Does this problem occur with the 05-06 sedan models?
