car got messed up..hoping its not the tranny...please help!!!

ok guys. big problem just occurred on my way home form work. i was cruising in tiptronic mode. about 35 mph 3rd or 4th gear and i hear a big POP and then my idle goes crazy and bouncy and same with my mph. i drove a bit more, the speed and rpm would increase but then same thing will happen..so i pulled over. nothing "looks" wrong under my hood. i turned the car off and on on the side of the road and the idle drops asap and my car turns off, it happened twice. and then i rev it a bit keep it up and it does, so i go in Drive not tiptronic and my service engine soon light is on and then when i hit 30 mph all my dash lights come on, and my wheel locks and the idle drops to 0 and car turns off even while its rolling......im gonna take it to the dealership tomorrow. it's an 03..so i knew at some point ima hit problems..but i'm just really hoping its not the transmission since i'm ALWAYS in tiptronic mode...do any of you guys know what it might be?
