End of the Line G35, gettin there

Hi everyone. So I've reached 124,475 today on my 2005. Noticed today that the mileage reading is dimmed and the trip meter is bright as always. They used to be both same intensity. Then as I'm driving the mileage meter flickers between bright and dim.

Any solution to this? Something burnt or loose connection. If so where would the connection be for this prob?

Thanks for any help.

Not the dimmer. Whether dimmer on hi or lo both numbers should have same intensity. Right now 124521 is low brightness and trip meter 2502 is bright orange. I did whack the cowl but same. Every few seconds 124521 flickers.

Sounds like it's just some bad wiring.

Mine does that sometimes... It's kinda hard to smack it at the right angle to make it work, but usually hitting a bump in the road fixes (or causes) it
