Does anyone know of any shops that are mod friendly? Bone stock 2006 coupe with NISMO CAI ( no carb sticker). Passed everything but failed visual. Thanks in advance.

I have the same CAI. I got the stock piece that goes from the MAF to throttle body and the shop will pass the visual for me. The shop is in Pleasant Hill. PM me if you need more info.

 

I advised CA. members 7 months ago what to expect when getting your registration renewall. The new STAR system in a major PIA for those of us with modded engines. Apparently Nismo CAI doesn't issue CARB stickers so you need borrow a OE intake for the test...Gary

 

Does anyone have an oem
intake system just sitting around that I can borrow for a day? Thanks!

finally passed visual. Ended up buying an AEM CARB sticker on ebay and stuck that puppy over the NISMO badge. Make sure you get the sticker with the D-670 EOD number. Hopefully that helps a couple of you guys that have to smog soon.
