Carputer!

Best option out there in terms of cost and versatility
The system can do anything and everything and costs the same as if you bought a cheap stand alone DVD system

I am very happy with the TomTom GO 700 and I got it at Circuit City for $729 + taxes. It is much better than the Garmin unit, TomTom has in-built bluetooth hands free phone feature, real time traffic and weather updates.

So, for $30 more it is a well worth unit.
Although the MSRP for the TomTom GO 700 is $899, you can always find it lower in most of the retail outlets.
As for mine, I got it at Circuit City, they did a price match with www.tigerdirect.com for $729
