Got mine done at audimobile...dealt with Alan and mentioned the previous group buy/deal from the forum to get a deal..........they do alot of Z's and G's so I felt comfortable. They know how to install all the options..I also had them custom mount 2 blue led's on the front pillars and a backup self powered siren. They did a damn good job too! One thing to remember ....you will have to give up 1 of your keys(with the chip), so if you need a second...have the dealer make you a copy and program it before you get the compustar installed.

First, how much did it cost you? Second, why do you have to give up one of your keys? How about the valet key?

Probably to keep hidden inside of the car so that it'll start using the remote start feature.

The g is equipped with a vat key (chipped key). The car doesn't start without the chip and key. It's gonna cost you about $130 or so to get the key and have it programmed at Infiniti. The key is actually hidden in your car and the chip inside of it relays to allow remote star, then you get into the car put your other key in the ignition...when you step on the brake....the signal from the hidden key is disconnected and it relays over to your key in the ignition. Otherwise if a shop disengages you vats somehow, someone can just pop the ignition and take off if you forgot to lock your car or remote started it.
