I don't think so. The job is **** man. Best I have ever had. I may not have some fancy metallic film, but I didn't want it either. It was seven windows after all. I don't see how shops are charging $150 and making a profit.

Update!

i stopped by Omega Tintwerks over the weekend to get a quote...$220 for 5 windows sounds like a good deal to me. I'm getting it done in a week or so.
I just need to choose between the 20% and 35%. My concern is that the 35% is going to be too light. What's everyone else using?

Now regarding the clear bra, I guess I'm going to need it...I noticed that a few of you recommended Premier. Anyone have Sam's #? I can't believe how crappy our paint quality is. I've got several small marks scratches already. I guess Nissan has to cut corners somewhere to get the price down, but this is the most fragile paint I've ever seen on any of my cars. It doesn't even come close to the quality of my '97 Lexus LS400 Opal Pearl Metallic paint.

Thanks again for all the input guys. I've now got 900 miles on the car...really enjoying it.

I was thinking about changing the factory oil in a week or so and refilling with a 5W30 dino oil (Castrol GTX) until the 3750 oil change. I'm going to covert the car to Mobil1, it's just a matter of "when" not "if" as all my rides get Mobil1. Would love to hear your thoughts there...

here's a few pics of the new ride:

I have 20% back three windows and 50 front wondows, you dont really want all of them same shade, too noticible for the poice.

Sam's is great guy, top notch work, just one problem tho, getting hold of him and set up a time, he is usually too busy, but you might be lucky tho He is down in LA this week and Vegas next week...

Hi all….Thank you for the kind words guys.
I have been in the tint and automotive film business since 1989. From car shows to car commercials, from residentials to commercial buildings. You name it I probably worked on it in one form or another. And for the Dot Matrixs and ClearBras…. I got that on lock-down, so don’t even worry about it. Our shop is located a block from the Pleasanton Auto Mall (Acura, BMW, Infinity, Mini Cooper, Lexus, Saab, and Volvo) We live and eat this stuff everyday…..if you have any questions give us a call

I agree. They do great work. If you do go with the clear bra, get it done custom style. It will be much more seamless than the pre cut kits out there.

I got my DG coupe Tints done by Vince, he did a GREAT JOB. I got 20 percent all around and I LOVE IT. He is extremely knowlegable and I am going to get a clear bra from him done soon. I paid 220 for all my windows, pretty good deal. I highly recommend him.

Thumbs up

I got my 35% tint and clear bra done over the weekend by Vincent @ Omega.

Really nice results, Vincent does a fantastic job.

My only regret was not getting the clear bra installed last month when the car had zero miles. I'm currently at 1600 miles and there were SEVERAL chips on the front bumper that Vincent had to touch up before installing the clear bra.

Infiniti should be ashamed of the quality of their paint. It's the softest/weakest paint I've ever seen, regardless of price. My metallic silver '93 Mustang 5.0 had 85K HARD miles on it and the nose, while not pristine, looked fantastic after 9 years of driving. That was a $15K car when new...
