Huge fan of Depeche Mode. Also a fan of the Bravery. Did they open for them at that show? If so, how were they? I'm going to see them in Atlantic City in two weeks. Can't wait. I've got general admission tix, so hopefully I can be front row center!

The opening band was called The Raveonettes. Female lead with blonde hair. Trippy kind of retro-rock. I dug 'em, they had a kind of unique sound. I hadn't heard of them until last night.

DM did two encores. It was pretty amazing. They did about five songs from the new album, Playing the Angels, and three tracks from Songs of Faith and Devotion (which happenes to be one of my favorite albums). Of course they did a lot of classics; Policy of Truth, World in My Eyes, Enjoy the Silence, Never Let Me Down Again, A Question of Time, Somebody...I'm sure I'm forgeting some. They even went way back and played I just Can't Get Enough. When they played enjoy the silence, he held the mic out to the arena and we all sang the chorus..."All I ever wanted, all I ever needed, is right here in my arms. Words are so very unneccessary, they could only do harm". It gave me goose bumps. I was sitting pretty high up, so I could survey most of the stadium. I'd say at some points 90% of the people were up and dancing.

If you saw me it was a black sedan with graphite J8 wheels.

If you saw shodog it was a silver sedan with silver Ruf wheels.

You would be surprised at all the young people I saw there. Plenty of folks in thier early 20's.

It's never too late to get into DM. Do yourself a favor and pick-up Violator and Songs of Faith and Devotion for starters. You'll thank me later.

I was at the show with my GF and friends. We had nose-bleed seats, but it was still awesome. They played a great mix of old and new. I swear that guy hasn't aged in 20 years and they still sound great. I can't believe how loud the crowd was. My ears were ringing a bit afterwards. Overall, I loved the show. How were your sets Cru? You go anywhere after?

Although they were in the upper level, they were still pretty good. We were right behind the entrance to a stairway, so there was no one in front of us and we were on the aisle too.

We swung by The Vault afterwards but the line was too long so we headed home. How about you?

You won't be dissappointed. There was electricity in the air. I know that sounds kinda corny, but it's true.

I have to say that concert was off the hook. It was crazy to see everyone in the crowd so pumped up. We had decent seats in section 104 but we wandered over to the suite that my company has and it just so happens that there were a bunch of people I knew so we stayed there. the suite is in the lower row of suites just almost even with the stage so it was way better than where we were originally sitting.

I saw all kinds of age groups from people much younger to people much older. I have been a DM fan from about black celebration on. Although my wife likes it, I really never liked their earlier happy stuff. It was a real treat to hear "somebody" played live. The new album is growing on me as there is some really good songs on it. I am with cru though, first Violator and then songs of faith and devotion are favorites but I would easily rate "Ultra" along right up there with songs of faith and devotion.

Up in the suite there were a few bottles of Captain Morgan, Patron and some Absolut Citron so people were getting lit. My wife got a little to much lit and ended up losing her dinner so we cut our evening short to roll home. My son was staying the night with his friend so we made up our own afterparty.
