I just heard that newsman Doug Murphy died last night in a house fire. I grew up watching him on the Eyewitness News on channel 5.

 

Please pray for him and his family and friends.

Yeah, I have been watching him for a long time. I heard about it on the news, last night . . .

 

oh wow...i remember before i had cable and sportscenter i used to watch every news channel waiting for the sports highlights. i had every news channel pattern down therefore had a sequence flipping through channels.

yeah, it feels like all these news anchors were a part of our households as we saw them on tv almost everyday. rip doug murphy

 

I haven't caught the news since I posted. Any more details emerging about the cause of the fire, etc.???
