05 Mustang GT wanted to play in 19th street, Sunset

I was riding with my friend (female) to SF state. Then a brand new Mustang with body kit and exhaust wanted to play. It had 2 guys in the car and one kept giving me 3,2,1,Go! signal. It was 3:30pm in the afternoon, with tons of traffic and students all around. How the heck were we suppose to race?

Besides, it's 19th street, man!!! Tons of people died on that street because of car accidents. I can't think of any good reason to race on a Black spot street at the worse timing of the day.

hehehe I used to race my b16a crx on the 19 ave, but back when I was in high school (appx. 6 years ago). Not a lot of cops, racers usually show up after midnight on weekends. now, everything changed.

Not cool to race on the street... guy must have been a high schooler.

I remember going to the Brotherhood Way night races over by Lake Merced 10 years ago when I was in high school but that was at midnight.

it's nuts to race on 19th ave., especially when it's busy, like it almost always is.. even so, cops hide on the cross streets all the time and catch people speeding there.. raced on their once, but have to admit, when you see some of the accidents that happen there, you decided to slow down when you're on there..

You gotta be out of ur minds to race around people! There's a right time and a right place to race, you dont start racing when you see few girls looking at your car. kene you made a wise choice, its better to say no then to regret it.
Respect

I applaud you for your restraint and common sense. I know it's hard to hold back the testosterone when some a-hole is goading you. Nice job.

Some of the people driving these days are just incredibly moronic...
I've had a moron in a Camaro launch his car into a car right in front of him while trying to race me without me even knowing we were racing... I was just driving, heard rubber peeling, looked over and dude was looking right at me with a fat grin as he smashed into the car in front of him... (I drive a four door too)

fereals, Just the other night i was on 580 seen this 03 cobra and ss just meesing around with each other, drove by minding my own buisness and the svt pulls up and starts to mess with me and takes off! I swear so many morons on the road. plus there was hella cops out and construction work. I spent good money on my car and im not about to throw it all away to race on the streets. All my racing is on the track! I learned my lesson when it comes to racing on the streets. Some accord awhile back though he could race me when i was on my cbr f4i i just looked and laugh and took off boy that was a bad idea, after i was gone on this kid, i started to slow down and eased off then a car made a left and cut me off and i ended up flying a good 150 feet. If i never gunned it, it would never had happen .never again will i race on the streets again! But man i know it must have been hard not to go at it with the stang. Great self control!

What else could you expect from a Mustang driver? Body kit and exhaust on a Mustang even makes the driver dumber!

I pretty sure it was a GT, because it has that GT badage at the rear. And it doesn't have that shark grill on the rearside window.

On the other night around 1am, there was a red dodge "magnum" drove next to me side by side on 580 close to oakland. The only mod that i could tell was 20in+ chrome wheels. I am pretty it wasn't a SRT whatever version. I was like...WTF? Why do you even drive next to me? So i just slow down let him be the man.

unrealistic TV/magazine commerical, man. I just can't believe a WAGON wants to play, too. What's next? a tractor?

Some people are oblivious. I had a guy in C280 mercedes with 2 passengers rev on me at the light. I had my window down so did he. He was like "comon, let's go" - I laughed and told him to do some research before hand.

He peeled of when the light turned green. He clearly didn't know the light/lane patterns very well, I passed him after 3 blocks never having to rev above 2.5k rpm. I could have been driving a Prius, still would have passed that dumbass.
