Best prices/places for mobile 1?

Just wondering what everyones paying and getting mobile1 synthetic oil and filters. The best price I was able to find on oil is $27.72 for 6 qts at costco and about $10-$11 for the filter at most auto parts stores.

Hey Eric, sorry to hijack the thread, but I heard German Castrol (Synthetic) was better for the VQ on BobIsTheOilGuy.com than Mobil 1? They claim it smooths out the engine and there's less noise. I bought 6 bottles and will try it on my next OC.

I went from syntecblend to mobile1 and it made quite a bit of difference in the engine noise. it was more quiet with mobile 1 synthetic.

Eric, you might want to contact Eugene (bythabay). He has wholesale pricing on Amsoil, which it seems many people swear by today.

i believe costco has the best prices per quart for mobil 1 synthetic....

as for the oil filter, you can get napa gold filters for about $7.50 a piece and works as well as mobil 1 filters... good internal construction too.

oem filters are going for $7 for me at nissan when i bought them for my 2k2 maxima... i am using maxima size napa gold filter on the g now since oem filter construction is kinda crappy.... just like how oem speakers are to aftermarket speakers...

How long does the Mobil 1 synthetic last? Will the Stock filter last that long too?

I also saw that Extended Performance 5w30. Is that necessary?

Not sure exactly how long they last, but they are basicly the same as the crappy Fram filters out there. Their filtration and construction is sub par. The newer Amsoil and Mobile 1 Filters are way, way more effective at filtering and use metal endcaps.
BTW, if your getting your oil changed at the dealerships, you do pay for the oem oil filter under parts....why not spend about the same and get an amsoil or mobile 1 filter for them to install?
