Don't blame ya, that's a great price. After my recovery from that nasty mod-bug where I plunked down for GG wires, I promised myself no more...

It's actually the plastic that already came on the car that the corner of the battery cover sits on. If you look at the cover, you'll notice that it is slightly slanted because it's elevated on the upper left corner. In order to make it look even with the left side battery cover, I took a dremel to it and cut out a little notch. I'll snap a pic and post it later on tonight. My car is at my parents' pad since my sideskirts are being re-done... for a third time but I don't even want to get into that.

If I buy this, is there anyone out there that can do the install?

Jason,

Get the battery cover while it's being offered at such a great price. The install is simpler than your Z tube and you saw how easy that was.

Pictures of the notch...

Andy here are the pictures as promised. I forced the rubber lining over the left side of the battery cover (left side meaning looking into the cabin from engine bay) to try and match the other side. Before I went to work with the dremel, my batter cover sat slanted. I know I am **** but hey =). Anyways, here are the pics:

That looks great, Chris. LOL . . . I gotta believe that many of us are going to have this battery cover installed for the Monterey Run. It's one of the simpler mods to DIY.

Hehehe . . . Smooth move, Tony.

Danny, what mods did you have in mind? You know I'm just messing with ya. Hey, I haven't seen you in a long time. When the heck are you going to come out to some of the meets?

It is extremly easy to install. I think I put my cover on a week after I bought the car.

Here's a picture
