I'm from Cali and going to a Mariners game...best seats?
Hey everyone, I'm going on a trip up to Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver starting on July 28. I'm going to go to the Aug 6 Mariners vs. A's game at Safeco, but I'm not sure of where to sit in the stadium. I don't think I want to spend $50 on the field seats around the infield (119-141), so I'm thinking of field level outfield (110-118, 142-150) or the pink zones in the outfield. If anyone could shed some light on which sections have good views I would appreciate it. Also, what else is good to see & eat at the stadium? Thanks in advance guys!!

PS - just my luck that my favorite team (the A's) are in town while I'm in Seattle!!)

Aug 6th is a day game at 1:05pm. It could get hot from the sun on the right field side (upper levels). I've sit in both cheaper seats and expensive seats (in field) and terrace club seats but I really think all seats at the Safeco Field are good. There isn't a bad seat in my opinion. I did love the Terrace Club Seats. They are Less Crowded and easier to get food. I often take guests from Japan to see Ichiro and buy Sec 112-116 lower level.
Good food? I love garlic fries, local Red Hook Beer but they have all sorts of food including sushi (Ichiroll
, clam chowders from Ivors. Food/Beer in the stadium is very expensive. You can try a Pyramid Brewary right in front of Safeco Field before the game. 1201 First Ave S. http://www.pyramidbrew.com/alehouses/seattle.phpHave a good time!

^Thanks for the advice. I ended up getting seats in Sect. 148 through Ticketmaster. Man they charge a lot of fees. I was thinking about upper box seats in 316 but those may be in the sun, as you pointed out. I hope the game is good!! There is a Pyramid Brewery down here in Berkeley too.
Now I need to plan what else to do in Vancouver and Seattle....
