Body shop near Everett? (North of Seattle?)
Hey y'all.
Last night I was on a two lane road waiting to turn left, completely stopped, when a jack@zz drunk in an older model Acura TL rear ended me. My rear plastic bumper has his "####IN HONDA" imprinted on it above my right exhaust pipe, and the paint is all flaking off. I think I def. need a new bumper unless a good body shop can mend cracked plastic. I got the guy's vehicle info, and my girl called the cops. But, he was drunk and had a thick european accent, so supposedly couldn't understand me when I told him to write his name down. I couldn't even understand 90% of what he was saying. When he finally figured out that I was stalling him to keep him there while the cops (who took WAY too long, ~15 minutes to get there at 10pm!) showed up, he bolted. Bend me over, State Farm!
The worst part was when I looked underneath the bumper, the aluminum bumper cross bar that was once straight as an arrow is now V'd big time. I took pictures and will post 'em up later. So, since the officer didn't seem concerned to help (again, he flipped a U turn and went the opposite direction as the guy did when he bolted
) I guess I'm going to have to eat my deductible. So. . .all that venting just to ask: does anyone know of a good body shop near Everett? I'd prefer to go down south (Kirkland, Lynnwood, Bothell, Bellevue, etc.) to find a place, but I'm a firm believer in word of mouth advertising, from people with first hand experience. Any of you dudes (and dudettes?) have any recommendations? It looks like I'll need paint/plastic, and a new metal bumper. . .
Thanks!

That's messed up. If he was drinking, the officer should have taken after his ****. But if you got his license #, you can file a hit/run. So the dude will get caught. Another thing you could have done was report a drunk driver w/ a description and license number. That should have caused a freakin' manhunt

I wish I did. . .my girl (fiance on Sunday! WOOT!) was pretty shaken up (as was I) and I didn't think about that at the time. Now I wish I had zip ties handy in my trunk to place the guy under "citizen's arrest." That woulda been cool. Or better yet, chase after him and call the cops and be like "I'm following this drunk driver who just hit me and is running. . .I'm at" looking at Nav screen. Grrr! Lousy hindsight!

Here's pics. . .it doesn't look that bad from the outside, but look at the aluminum bumper. . .ugh.
Oh, and I got the dreaded CD ERR FO now too, since the overly mechanical CD "swapper" is so sensitive. Now I need to fix that too. GRRRR! Oh well. . .like a good neighbor.
