I'm scheduled to bring the G in to get the headlights swapped out for the recall, and figured it would be a waste to have them just trash my painted lights. So I was thinking if anyone was local to the seattle area, and wanted to swap me for their 06 lights and not have to paint their own lights. They come with yellow capsules that were retroed into the fogs, but I can remove those if you don't want them. Asking trade +$50, just because I have to take apart the frontend to remove the headlights. Heres some recent pics of them

 

How did you find out you had to get them replaced? Im thinking I have to go too. I wish i could trade wih you, but I am not local.

 

I called the dealership because I knew they were going to start doing it in april

Did you ever find out if they are recalling the lights themselves, or only if you have an '06? Also, is it for lights prior to a certain build date?

 

There's also a recall on black painted grills. I'll take it off your hands yo'

I didn't find out if its for all the lights or just 06's or anything. I just called Infiniti of Kirkland and asked them if they were doing the recalls for the headlights yet, and and asked them if mine was covered. They said yep so I went ahead with setting up an appointment for next saturday. I'll ask them about it when I'm there though.

 

When you asked them, did they ask for a VIN # then?

do it happen in Canada as well?? you got a nice head light, i wish i can have mine painted, however i am coming to WA at Bellingham in the middle of May , but since u r going to bring it back to th dealship next week, so i dont' think u will wait for that~~ DAMN IT~~ good luck with the trade~~

 

well if dealer is going to trash your light how about I'll give you my 05 light and have dealer trash them and get yo 06 instead.

I just called INFINITI of Tacoma and asked them about my headlights and it looks like 05 are not on the recall.
