SIR [PR] Thursday, July 26th HPDE track day

this is copied from the my350z site...if you plan on going, let us know!
http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=273392

it's a HPDE (high performance driving event / lapping day) with the Alpha Romeo club at the Pacific raceways (formeraly seatle internation reacways)

drivesolo and I are already signed up...it'd be nice to get a solid group of 350Z/G35's out there. It's on a Thursday so this is perfect...take a day off of work (+1), drive the VQ35 (+2), drive on a track (+3), drive w/ fellow VQ owners (+4)

I just emailed the contact w/ my info...

so, who's going?

PR HPDE on July 26th
1) Drivesolo
2) first 350

This requires the performance driving school or previous track experience?

that's their rule that they state online, but I've heard that ppl with other motorsport (i.e. AutoX) expeirence have sometimes been allowed to run as well. If you're unsure, contact the main person and ask.

Slow alpha's

Proformance has about the same price for their track days, and you don't have to get stuck behind slow ash alpha's. You should try to get an event set up with Proformance race school, their great. You only have to get stuck behind slow ash M3's and Porsches with Proformance, haha.

Proformance is more of a structured school I think...... plus, I also thought you drive their cars, not your own?

Holy ****! I just checked out their website...they charge $495 for a lapping day using your own car? That's ridiculous........

It's only $200, using your own car, if you have attended an HPD before. Their HPD school is $495.

this will be my first time running w/ the alpha club, but from what I hear, there's plenty of other cars there...plus, a good driver in an alpha could probably walk all over 95% of Z/G owners ; it's the driver that makes the car fast. (I've gotten rides in a '91 spec miata that was several seconds faster than me in the Z...crazy fast! )

FWIW, the performance driving school comes very highly recommended from many of my Fbody brethren. Many stated that it will help in normal driving and they make a point about no matter how good of a driver you think you are, there's plenty to learn and this school WILL teach you!
