G in the Snow
Who's been brave enough to take their G out in the snow in this recent NW snow/ice blast? I stayed home today but might have to brave the ice tomorrow.

Dood - it's HAIRY out there. I'm totally frustrated. I used my Christmas vacation to upgrade the suspension on my G and I haven't been even able to take it out of the garage to test it out. I can't wait for all this to be over - never thought I'd say it but, "bring on the rain!"

Re: G in the Snow
No sh#t! I took my wife's front-wheel drive Volvo out yesterday in the snow and that wasn't too bad but when the freezing rain got here I settled down in front of the TV. I think the thaw has started at least on the west side. I'm a little over 32 where I live and I can hear the ice melting and falling outside.
I have a pop charger and z-tube coming this week. Hopefully we'll get back to our normal winter of dreary, wet and 40-ish so I don't freeze my behind off in the garage installing it.
I might hit you up sometime to see your car lowered...when it's warmer.
Hang tight bro. You'll be going around the curves soon enough!

Re: G in the Snow
I actually didn't lower the G. I didn't get the Sport package 'cause I didn't like the titanium interior. So, I bought the OEM Sport suspension off some guy in SoCal after he upgraded to 350Z components.

Re: G in the Snow
I happend to have taken out my G during the snow storm. I know... I know... I'm crazy right? I have the 6MT Coupe and the stock tires are basically useless in snow/ice conditions. I heard that some dealerships are offering the standard 17" wheels outfitted with blizzaks. It suppose to profide adequate traction in snow or ice. Never tried it though...

Re: G in the Snow
Some might call it sacrilegous, but I parked my G when the snow flew and have been driving my old Ford Probe with snow tires all around. Didn't have any problems, but I'm trying to sell the Probe so I won't have that option next year.
I'm planning on getting the 18" Blizzaks mounted on the stock wheels next fall. I'm looking to get some replacement wheels this spring. Just 18's so I don't have to get new tires though.
I think the car will be drivable with the snow tires on it, but I've got a Toyota P/U and the wife's 4wd CRV to fall back on if it gets bad like it did this year.
