Good eats in Seattle?
I'm going to be spending 24 hours in Seattle before heading up to Whistler for a week. Any recommendations on places to eat? Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
I'm from NY, so I much rather prefer a hole in the wall type of place with disgustingly delicious food than a fancy establishment. Along with recommendations for the three meals, any novelty or specialty shops would be greatly appreciated like "You got to try a hot dog from so and so... or the fried pickles here are to die for!"

You should hit up Bluestar for breakfast food! It's so amazing. Laid back place, nothing fancy. It's a bar during the later hours.
It's up by Greenlake in north Seattle, just south of the actual lake.
If you like Indian food, drop by the Bombay Grill on Roosevelt Ave in the University District (northern Seattle). It's nicely decorated, clean, and serves some of the best curry in the area IMO.
There are a ton of hole in the wall places on "the ave." It's University Avenue in the University District. It's pretty dirty and grimy, but it has a great city feel to it. Plenty of pho and teriyaki joints. Also middle eastern cuisines and thai, the selection is endless.
If you like asian cuisines hit up china town south of downtown. Honey Court is probably the most popular. Ga-Ga-Loc is choice #2 for me. They also got good dim sum in that huge red and gold building (don't remember the name). They also have bubble tea there and "the ave" in the U-district also if you haven't tried that stuff; get "regular" flavor to start with.
Good luck.
If you decide you feel fancy, hit up Daniel's Broiler (they have 3 locations in the area). The Filet Mingon Oscar Style is great if you feel like blowing $80.

There is a Russian cuisine I hit up when I'm at Pike Place Market called "Cafe Yarmarka." I'm not sure if it's still there it's been a year since I've been, but if it is, just get some chicken or beef "pelmeni." That's authentic Russian dumplings w/ meat in them. Pretty bomb ****, trust me, I'm Russian.
Oh and it's a hole in the wall type of place. Lots of cool little shops to explore too if you feel up to it.

Trying to think what they didn't have for eats when I was in jersey. Seafood, Sushi, diff asian food etc...
For a great steak for a cheaper price, try Jak's. Closest to Seattle is probably Laurhurst just north of University Dist or maybe West Seattle. http://www.jaksgrill.com/process.asp Their stuff is on par with the more expensive places.
Steamers on the waterfront is decent for cheap Seafood. Clams, oysters, fish/chips etc....
If you're staying out near the airport, you can try 13 Coins. HUGE portions.
