I'd get matching rear tires first and foremost. I've had my car "shift back and forth" like that due to the grooves in the pavement. It felt like I was driving those little kiddie cars on tracks at amusement parks.

My guess is that your bald tire is allowing that side to slide happily over groves, but the new tire pulls in them. Did it only start pulling after you got the new tire? I had oem suspension for 111k miles, and sway bars since ~40k, and never had any issues with them.

Good luck!

the shifting thing happens to me too. i thought it was the drop... the alignment? been through s-tech and now kw coils. had 19"stockers and 20" iForged... still happened with all combinations. i couldn't figure it out. i thought i noticed it only happening on the 405, but then noticed it on the 5 and only when i'm at speed.

the funny thing is it happens in my wife's fx, but not in her old car. doesn't seem to happen in my brother in law's bimmer either... i'm wondering if it's an infiniti thing... maybe (and i'm no expert on this) something with the grooves on these specific roads and our vdc's???
