Questions from a NW new-b =oP

Hello all! I am new to the forums here, I am looking to get a G35 coupe w/6mt within the next month or so... I am kind of limited on time and have not had a chance to search the forums all that much. I am also HiFiWRX on www.TeamIntrinsic.com (we are doing a show and shine in August that "Verdugo" posted about ;o)

So with that out of the way, My questions are as follows. (please don't be too rough on me for the new-b questions)

1. What should I expect to pay? (ie: MSRP, MSRP-$500, MSRP-$1000 etc...)

2. Anyone worked with the local dealerships? (Fife is willing to work with me a little but not a whole lot)

3. Anyone know of any USED G35 6mt cars locally?

I think that's it... Thanks for the help!

BTW I am looking to get the following car:

2004 Infinity G35 leather/6MT Coupe
Twilight Blue w/Graphite Leather
* Premium Package
* Trunk Mat
* Aero Kit w/Spoiler (4-piece)

Re: Questions from a NW new-b =oP

1. If you're buying from Kirkland or Fife (same owners) you can expect MSRP. However, if you're willing to buy out of state. I'd recommend seeing if these guys will help you out. Grubbs If you're a FreshAlloy member, they periodically will offer discounts. Gotta register early though because they will only give the discounts to members who registered before the discount offer is extended.

2. A few people have bought out of state with no problems. It's the only way to save $2-3k. Kirkland and Fife have a monopoly on this area so it's pretty hard to get them to deal unless you're getting an AUTO sedan.

3. Occassionally but not at this time...

Good luck.

Re: Questions from a NW new-b =oP

Cool thanks for the reply, I got them to agree to give me $500 off MSRP at Fife but that's the best they will do...

I like to stay local, but man... I am having a tough time giving up the extra $1500 I can get off from Grubbs (who I already contacted thanks to another post on here ) )

So we'll see when the time comes, what I can get done. The people at Fife are nice enough to work with me a little, but gave me the standard "it costs $xx million to have the dealership here... Can't work for free" etc etc...

I am almost insulted that they really think I don't know that they make money even if they sell it at invoice... (not as much of coarse, but some...) Anyhow thanks again!

Well, I got mine from CA and I don't see the advantages to buying local. The service dept will welcome you no matter where you bought the car.

The extra money you save can go to nice set of wheels instead...

(arrgh, don't remind me, the first 2-3 days she had it she was hyped as heck but now that the initial excitement has worn off I think she's seeing how ludicrous it was to spend so much on a freaking purse and "free" wallet)

I woulda had my wheels for now if not for the vacation and that purse...

Re: Questions from a NW new-b =oP

I bought my from out of state and received mine at $300 over invoice and asked if Kirkland and Beaverton could match and they laughed and said no so it made it an easy decision to buy elsewhere. I have it serviced in Kirkland without any problems what so ever and the Service guys don't care if you didn't buy the car from them they still make the same amount of money. If you have the patience to wait it is easier to negotiate with other dealers outside of the Northwest.

Bought mine from Grubbs with VPP pricing (real VPP). Kirkland wouldn't deal, not even $1000 off MSRP. Saved about $3k (which is just about what tax worked out to be when I registered the car). No problems with the delivery. Only have 1800 miles, so I haven't had service yet, but I don't expect any issues as someone else says, the service dept gets paid whether the car was sold from them or not.

Thanks for all the replies!

I have been trying to deal with Infinity of Fife, They have treated me well though I have not been able to deal with them much on price.

Now I am looking at a car for $36,430 (Graaphite/Graphite, Premium package, trunk mat front and rear spoilers and tinted windows...) What are your thoughts on this??

I need to see if my credit union will go for it anyway... I tried a couple out of state dealerships and can't seem to connect with them successfully, Email, Phone, etc... I just can't seem to get the deal done.
