Car selling techniques
Car selling techniques
Anyone have a lot of experience selling pre-owned cars in the Seattle area? I'm trying to sell my G35 Sedan and so far I've posted it on this website, 6mt, and on AutoTrader.com. Does anyone know how long it usually takes? What are some other ways to increase visibility other than posting my ad on other sites? Thanks.
Re: Car selling techniques
Don't do it on the web, Seattle not ready for it, yeah I know it's a little surprising. When I sold my CRV to get my G, I spent $100 on ads on autoweb.com, cars.com, and StoneAge.com and got only 1 call over a 1 month period. I put an ad in the Seattle Times classifieds and got over 50 calls within 2 weeks.
Also, pay the $25 to get a 30 day car fax account to print out your car fax history. Also, if you got serviced at Kirkland, get them to print out your maintenance history. I did all of the above and ended up selling my car w/o negotiating down from my asking price at Kelley Blue Book value.
I only see 4 used sedans for sale and all by the dealership so you should get some decent inquiries by putting it in the Times.
