There are a lot of options, what are you trying to maximize?

The most common set up here is the JWT Pop Charger and Z-tube combo. Easy, clean and sound superfly but the "gains" from this mod are minimal other than the sound.

I have the Stillen intake with the oem z-tube and like it a lot. Like jookyshank said, it's all about the sound, no real gains from it.

Hmmm is there ever really a big gain unless you do everything, i.e. exhaust, cpu, manifold, etc... I would liketo to have an awesome sound, and if possible, max the gain from it. I had a civic when i was younger, i realize that these are two different cars. I put a AEM cold air intake and got some sound, and some small gain, if any, but I noticed that short ram intakes had a better sound. So i guess i would like a good sound from it.

i have a nismo cai and a true dual exhaust and love the sound i've had people ask if i was turbocharged. I noticed a small gain with the intake and then a good gain with the exhaust. but I would highly recommend track pipes if you are looking for real sound

Cool, thanks for clarifying what you're looking for.

I'll put my official two cents in then for the Z-tube/Pop charger combo. That sound is perfect for our cars, very throaty without being overly "HEY HEY..LOOK AT ME GO!!!" Just sounds gooood

hope this helps!

btw...I was under the impression that the test pipes (non-resonated)add rasp to most exhaust systems...any input on that statement?

Z-tube Pope charger or Z-tube Stillen sound great - Also, I think the most hp gains can be had from the OE revup intake box with a Z-tube and drop in filter (I can't comment on the sound of that setup, I never heard it)...

yes the test pipes do add a little rasp to my exhaust i have the top speed pro1 but the overall sound is amazing. From what I've heard about the pop charger and z tube combo is that it doesn't really add power just sound. So if it's sound your going for get it. I don't think there's really a lot of intakes out there your going to get a lot of power from, but the nismo has worked out pretty good.

I just installed my Z-Tube last night with my Rev-Up Air Box!

Only difference is though, I am using a new OEM Nissan Engine Filter instead of the K&N. I read somewhere that the oil from the K&N filter might get into the MAF Sensor and cause it to malfunction?

Either way, OEM Filter or K&N... the car sounds much better!

My butt dyno also says it's a little faster too!

injen, aem or fujita. i have an aem race intake but i turned it into a short ram an it sounds a lot better. i also got a k&n cone filter with the filter end cap and it really improved the sound.
