been wondering why do my 06 coupe sport 19s feel heavier than my oem 17s on my 04 4 door ? a search on here would have me think they're lighter but the car sure doesn't seem to exhibit the same @ low speeds

19 diameter is bigger. Longer time to get a full rotation of the tire. Car will feel slower and speedo will be off. Plus 19 tire is probably heavier.

Sukh is correct, anytime you move to a larger diameter rim the car will seem slower because there is more rotational mass for the engine to turn. The engine is still making the same power, but its harder to get to the ground. Thats why most guys who do racing/time attack etc are on smaller rims. An easy way to overcome this "perceived" loss of power is with more mods!!!! and a tune

Also be sure to use maximum air pressure that your tire states, this creates less rolling resistance. Harder ride but the car will roll easier.
