I have an IP coupe, thinking about painting the wheels flat black like my grill.

Do you think i should paint my rays flat black?

I saw another IP the other day just like yours just with AIT+ings front and stock oem19's but it was slammed, Honestly it looked sweet . Iono if you like flat black then its what YOU like cause everyone else is going to have a different style. Add some spacers on there and you'll be set GL w/modding!

https://g35driver.com/forums/exterio...kits-more.html it's in here, just scroll down. I believe it was the ings lip. And was what flat black? The oem 19s? No they were stock just like yours. People are saying don't flat black your rims or do?

Just remember in the end its what makes you happy every time you walk out to your car. You're the one who looks at it the most.

In what condition are your Rays? Mine are sorta rashed so might as well do mine if you want to paint them anyway. Trade + some cash etc..

I dunno. I think flat black is on the way out and just makes your car look like it's coated with brake dust.

+1 on the gold, flat black just makes it harder to see the detail of the wheel and it blends in with the tire too much
on a side note, anyone have any suggestions on a color for a DG?

^I would say gunmetal or black and I would do both of them in a matte finish. Or you could do a bronze in a matte finish.

i agree gold would be sick.. i have an IP as well been debating about painting them gold but held back cause i just want to get some gold after market wheels instead of spending the time to paint them.

i totally agree with you.. i think black only looks nice if you have the polished lip to accent it.

Gold would be alright. I would not do a polished lip though. Seriously though, look into some bronze colors on a DG coupe. Would look nice!

BTW I had mine powder coated glossy black and I think they look great. It only costs about $70 a wheel to get them powder coated by a good shop that knows what they are doing and knows what temps. to bake them at.
