going to need help installing suspension

going to need help installing suspension

so right now this is just kinda a feeler post.
i get back in less than a month and then hopefully a month after that ill have most my parts bought. is there anyone in the area that has the tools and knowledge and wants to help me install some front and rear cambers as well as new shocks and springs???

If you're replacing the shocks AND springs, you might consider going with full coilovers, it shouldn't be too much more and will give you more adjustability.

And its going to be a LOT of work to install all of that... you're gonna have to throw in a lot of beer to get someone to do it for free lol

beer and pizza we could even have a pizza party get together and do work together and do stuff with everyones car as needed

i could do coils, but my car is only for dd.
im down for a get together. would be good to meet people that love their cars too.

ok so i just did a little looking around, and if i dont need front cambers with coils, then im for sure going with coils

how low you drop the car is what determines whether or not you need camber kits, not what you're dropped on

yes i understand that, but im only thinking about a 1'' drop all around. now from what i understand the bc racing coils come with camber plates. now does that mean that i can adjust the camber on the coils themselves? if so, then would i still need a front camber kit?

I used Megan for daily driving, i liked em, i think seymore likes silk road coils.

my buddys shop does it for 200 or so. but you can do it yourself...i did mine myself (im retarded and it took WAY TO LONG but i did it lol)

looks like ill be going with some bc coils instead of the new shocks/springs.
excatly how hard is it to install coils?

I'm dropped about 1.5-2" on some coils and sitting at about -1.5 camber all around. Camber doesn't really eat tires, toe does. As long as your toe is in spec you will be fine. You just need to dismount the tires and swap sides maybe every 10k miles. Unless you have tires that are not only directional but need to be on a certain side, then you are effed.

Coil install is easier than spring install IMO, don't need to compress anything, its just the adjusting that takes some time.
