my cars been in the shop for over a week now.. they cant figure out whats wrong with it.. it makes this nasty *** grinding noise at around 2000 RPM.. i just had my clutch replaced recently.. and it drove fine for 500 miles and after the broke in period.. i floored it on the onramp.. and soon after it started making this clunking sound. He took apart my tranny, replaced the pilot bearing, but the sound is still there. The shop says my clutch might be unbalanced, so he wnats to send it back to ACT.. but before i do that i was wondering if someones has an used clutch i could put on my car to see if the sound is still there so i can try to figure out the problem. let me know if anyone could help me out. im willing to buy the clutch if its cheap, but i just didnt want to waste time sending my clutch in if its not my clutch. thanks

 

you installed an aftermarket flywheel as well yes?

 

ya... the sound is not the lightwheel chatter.. itts a nasty grinding sound.. car isnt even driveable..

I have the whole OE clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate set-up with about 55K on it. They are all in excellent condition and I can email you pictures if you want.

 

im not trying to spend very much money on it. i jus want to swap it on my car to see if the crazy grinding sound is gone.. hm how much do you want for it?? i dont really want to buy it.. but ill pay you to use it for a day or two?? let me know
