snow driving
Well i drove my G on Kumho Ecsta's this morning when the dusting was fairly superficial and did just fine. Good thing i parked it later in the afternoon though. Later I took the Toyota out to Costco in the evening with nary an issue. FWD on fat rubber rolls just fine
On the way back it really started coming down and I had to use every bit of restraint I had not to shoot some of the idiots getting in my way. People driving erratically, braking over & over again - spoiling my easy-going rhythm.
Not that I'm a direct descendant of Mika Hakkinen but I grew up in driving/riding through waist-deep floods so a few inches of snow are no big deal.
Had a whole lotta fun sledding with the neighbors after I got home so that made up for it

Chains suck because you can only go like 30mph. I think if you need serious snow traction, studded snows on all four tires would get you everywhere and you can get up to freeway speeds when necessary.
I guess traffic was so bad yesterday that people even had time to build snow man on a shoulder of SB 167.
I went that way today and there's one in a Sumner area on a left shoulder.

I'm picking up snow chains tomorrow. SCC Super Z6 Chains. Anyone using anything like this? My +07 G sedan did quite well in the snow so far. Hopefully I dont get stuck or anything when I go snowboarding at Crystal....
driving my G on all season T's and doing great
love these tires, going down and up hills no wheel spin etc... unless i want it
which i want it sometimes
lol
nice and smooth accel and braking takes care of everything
never above 2500 rpm's and never lose grip

Yeah, G35x?
WOw, yeah I just picked up some SCC Super Z6 Chains for 100 bucks. So I'm not too worried anymore unless i end up in a ditch or something. THen that would be a different story.
Hey the snow cables I got are really good for better clearance since your getting 19s. Check it out, and they aren't that expensive either.
