Why in the hell does everyone bitch about G's in the snow? Just buy good dedicated snow tires and don't be a complete tard when you drive and oh my god this car is great in the snow!

I had a vw FWD golf with blizzaks and my G really isn't much less capable.

I went up snowboarding to steven's pass yesterday (two people with all our gear in the back) drove up for about 20-30 minutes in new snow packed on top of old snow, parking lot was pretty deep and alot of slush, got back to my car with about 6 inches-1 foot of snow on top of my car and in a slump, got out of that without even slipping once, then drove down the pass while is was snowing like crazy and didn't hit non-snow pavement for about an hour no issues at all. The car didn't flinch once, never spun the tires (except when I turned the traction control off to play around haha). It just ALL depends on the tires. I passed a few wrx's that were spinning their tires, a bmw with chains who couldn't get traction, and some suvs that were having trouble in the parking lot.

Keep in mind I have a 04 g35 coupe (RWD) with an auto trans... but with blizzaks I tore it up no trouble at all

Only thing you have to do, get good snow tires (when i had performance summer tires on there and couldn't make it out of the drive way haha), keep room between people in front and behind you, use very very little throttle, BE SMOOTH with breaking, accelerating, and turning, and this car is amazing in the snow!

Common people, man up.. hahaha

i went to crystal with my toyo all seasons and did fine. i got stuck in the parking spot though because of so much snow buildup. but a little push and i was set from there...

Hey guys, just thought I'd share that I got a set of General Altimax Arctic tires mounted and the G did great in the snow and ice the past week. They were pretty cheap too from TireRack, more info here:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....Altimax+Arctic

Definitely noticed a less sporty feel to the car, but not too bad for a few months during the winter.

Well the wheels are18x8 all around, can't remember the tire size though. Usually the skinnier the tire the better it does in the snow though. Kinda counter intuitive

true that coz on a skinnier profile, the tire has less snow to move out of its way

heck my 04 came with 215/55-17 all-seasons ... can't get any skinnier than that

Took her snowboarding again yesterday (4th time this year with the G), took some pictures to not only prove it can be done but how easy it is. Im surprised every time I take the G to the mountain I always get asked at least 5 times how I got up here and how it drives in the snow Its all about the tires....

2 snowboards and all our gear with plenty of room to spare

Up at stevens, beautiful day! Snow was perfect up top but halfway down turned to ice
