The resale value of the FJ is pretty good. I was looking at used ones on craigslist and theres 07s with over 50k miles thats still selling for over 20k while the Xs are around 15-20k

I've seen vids on youtube where even the old school FJs are pulling H2s outta ditches. Toyota has always been quality.

^Doublage lol

Yeah, those YJ's are pretty bada**. If I were to get an old school off road vehicle, I'd get a YJ or International Scout. Suzuki Samauri's are awesome too lol.

Just a little side note on the quality aspect. Did you not hear about all the recalls? Dont get me wrong, i agree that they are build well.

Yea all the recalls have been a pretty big hit on Toyota lately but besides that in terms of quality their cars last pretty long. My first vehicle was a slammed toyota pickup with over 200,000 miles on it and it still ran like a beauty.

KSWAY - we wouldn't mind having a FX35, FX45, or even a QX56 but we can get a brand new FJ with warranty for cheaper than a used FX35.

So we decided to wait on this purchase while my wife looks for another job.. but another suv has also came into the mix! The new Mercedes GLK350 is pretty nice and decently priced. My wife loves the way it looks and says its more of a 'girly' car for her. Plus on top of that if we go through our bank to purchase it, it'll be cheaper and they'll give a $1500 incentive. So basically we would be paying less than invoice price which is around $36,000 for the awd model. Decisions, decisions!!

But then again, were not sure when she will find the right job.
