Hey just got a g35s
Depends on what all you're tryin to do, but deals are to be had and as always, cash talks
Several of the members (myself included) have gotten extensive work done there and everybody's happy at the end of the day.
As for mods, it depends on the dealer. They can be real dicks about it and try to deny coverage for any mod, but they shouldn't. Legally they can only deny you if they can directly attribute the warranty work to your mod. For example if I broke an axle, they're going to say "well duh you're twin turbo'd... take a hike." but if my radio stops working they should fix that because engine mods have no impact on the radio, and thus should not void that part of the warranty.
I got my leaking valve cover replaced under warranty when I had full exhaust, high flow cats, intake and aftermarket plenum no questions asked.
If they do give you a hard time (and its something major) you can always take the mods off for a day

its just when you get beyond the intake and exhaust that you need to do Osiris goodness
thats why i getting it with the Plenum cause i know my intake and exhaust are fine but the plenum spacer will go over the limits
if you doing a intake and exhaust only then ECU will be ok, its just anything beyond that will need a retune... Osiris is awesome!

as for the transmission mate it will be fine
its the same tranny in the Infiniti SUV (FX or something
lol) and they are strong, the tranny itself can handle upto 600hp and 550 lb/t (per Nissan/Inf tech when i called couple weeks back) ***BUT*** there are parts that are different from the truck/SUV tranny like the Valve body is weaker and needs to be upgraded for anything over 300, also the torque converter needs changing if you going over 450 and power packs and coolers are needed for over 500, keep this in mind... if you are staying NA then the tranny will handle perfectly without mods, but i would recommend the Transgo Valve body upgrade since it is something you can really feel different.im supercharging my auto tranny in the summer (money permitting
lol) and per multiple techs i spoke with the thing is fine and all i need is valve body upgrade, torque converter (if going over 400hp) and if really wanna push the numbers (turbo) will need power packs, tranny cooler etc.
after getting a taste of ur turbo just have to FI now
so the last month I been calling inf and Nissan getting a firm set for what I need and the limits lol... Im'n other 5AT owners that are FI for what they did etc
Wanna make sure it keeps driving since its my DD
I am ready now and saving to it with my bonus in april
Ur car is my goal
hahaha you don't want my car, I keep breaking it lol in all honestly 400ish is a nice reliably daily driver. I can't drive mine in the rain and stuff... just bought a civic... lol No bueno
