VQ35HR in coupes...

WHY didn't Infiniti put the HR motor in any coupes??! Just finished tuning my friend's 2008 350z (VQ35HR) and it put down a filthy 530whp stock block, smooth linear powerband, no sign of knock... The cars a beast.

Its not FAIR! I don't want a DE!!

^+1 get a G37. Or just get an 07-08 sedan. They didn't bother putting it in the 35 Coupe for some reason. Probably because the 37 coupe was so close to production.

.... you're missing the point. I like the G35. I already have one and its fully built. If Infiniti went to all the trouble to put the HR motor in the sedans why wouldn't they put it in the coupes too??

Cause the sedans had to be faster, since the coupe's cornered the sexy market

The sedan came out with the HR motor for one year badged as the G35 w/the new body style, then it turned into the G37. I figure they did this because the sedan originally came out before the coupe.

to answer your question, it didn't fit. they would've had to add a hood hump like on the HR 350z
