Check your spark plugs!!

Pulled the plugs from a 2006 350z today, BONE STOCK with 44K miles on it before getting an Osiris tune, had a big shock when we looked at the plugs! He ended up putting down 258whp with only a K&N filter, said it felt like he was in a whole new car!

Nissan says 100K miles between spark plugs but I've never seen one last that long... Rich at Uprev said he "always quotes customers 15-25k miles between plug changes depending on how they drive and if they are FI. A simple change of the spark plugs to factory fresh NGK plugs is good for 3whp on an NA car."

WOW. All I can say is if you haven't gotten tuned you should :icon9:

Sound advice...

Also considering the experience I just had. Bought the car used and it had the wrong plugs with the wrong gap the whole time I've been driving it since... about 20k in a year and a half.

Wow, that's some build up for 44k!

So is AutoZone @ $9.99 ea about the best deal in the area for the NGK Laser Plat.? If anybody knows or has a better deal please let me know, Thanks!

Thanks for the Reminder Joe, I was all set to do the plugs a while back and I guess it slipped my mind with all the house stuff I have been doing.

For NA the greddy L7's are the best ones that we've found, not cheap but worth it. Other than that donno

I think i'm gonna change mine this weekend. I just bought the car and know the last time they were changed was 30k miles ago. I was wanting to clean up the engine anyways.

The only things left to do that could possibly improve my MPG is differential fluid and the spark plugs. Hopefully its one of this issues. Or maybe I have leaky valve covers. Guess I'll find out when I check the plugs. It just never ends with this car..
