Silly transmission question

So been looking at the forms for a while now, never really bothered to sign up - but a few months back i remember seeing someones post on them buying a transmission from a aftermarket company and loving the change, I checked out the problem and it listed things it changed from the OEM g35 transmission (6mt)

Now ive looked for two days trying to find his post on the name of the transmission site he got his off of. And ide love to see if maybe he could repost up his link;

Or if someone possibly knew a good aftermarket transmission, im having problems with my current transmission shifting into 3rd gear and sometimes 5th, which seems to be a common problem on 04 g35's.

Thanks
Charles

ok just doing this because no one else will reply, but here we go.

With the exception of the earlier models with the grinding issue and the HR's with their weak slave cylinder issue, The stock 6MT transmission is extremely stout. There are drag z's pushing upwards of 1000whp and running 8-9 second 1/4 miles all while using the stock transmission, as well as the two G35's from drift emporium running the stock 6MT transmissions all season while pushing 500-600 whp and drifting professionally.

You do not need an aftermarket transmission, you need a CD009 6MT transmission, or just pick up a used one from a 2005+ VQ35DE, but even then they're going to run you 600+

I think there was/is some company out there making a sequential transmission for the 350/G35. Probably damn expensive and like Joe said, '05+ are stonger then most will push them.

Ikeya formula makes a 6MT-sequential conversion kit, it doesn't change the actual transmission just how you shift, as for a legit sequential I know OS Giken is in development, not sure if its on the market yet, but you'll be looking at $15,000 plus.
