Oil Change Prices?

Hi everyone,

My G35c is getting close to needing my first oil change and I was wondering what you guys have been doing. I know doing it myself would be the cheapest but I just don't have the tools needed. I've heard that going to Nissan dealerships is an option if I want to avoid getting gouged by the Infiniti dealer.

I just wanted to know where you guys have been going if you don't do it yourself and how much you've been paying.

Thanks.

I forgot to mention I'm in the Seattle area.

Thanks.

75$ for synthetic, and $30 for regular oil. I wouldn't pay any more than that. I just use the local quick lube in my home town. The guy that I deal with there is a bmw owner and really into nice cars, so he treats the G right. It is a lot more convenient to go to these cheap lube places, but do an informal interview with the technicians before you let them work on your car.

Buy the tools and DIY. All you really need is:
1. a screwdriver (power preferably) or a 10mm socket
2. and an oil catch pan
3. 14mm? socket for the drain nut
4. ramps

I stock up on oil and filters when they're on sale and it costs me just over $9 bucks per change. It takes 15 minutes after the first time and you know it'll be done right.
