Free Husky to good home - All white with blue eyes -

Here's the situation

My puppy Keira is up for adoption. She got thru the fence once and now keeps trying to get out. The only reason why I'm going to let her go is I feel that now that she got out, she doesn't want to stay in my yard. So future owner must have brick wall protecting her from getting out. She is very intelligent and watches me when I fix the fence so she can figure out how to get out.

She is gorgeous, plays well with children, and is obedient (except for the getting out thing). She knows the basics sit, stay, time to eat. She can be in the house without messing anything up. Right now she stays in the garage till some one gets home to let her out for a little while. I don't want to get rid of her, but I fear that she'll get out, and get hit by a car or picked up by the pound or worse by someone else that will try to keep her. She's a good dog, but since she's breakin the fence, i don't want to risk my other dog Rosko(getting bad ideas and trying to get out ). hit me up if you want pictures

She's registered, and has all her shots and records and is a year old

this picture is kinda old i'll try to put up some newer ones.

I don't know where you are but Huskys require a large amount of exercise and companionship to be content. It sounds like she just needs some more activity. You might try to find someone who lives near you with a dog and take her over to "play" or find a doggie daycare place. We used a doggie daycare a couple days a week when I was working and it was great. It cost us about $20 a day but it kept the dog from trying to get out and from chewing things because he was bored. They just play with them ALL DAY long and when they get home they just go to sleep. It takes our dog a couple days to recover completely.

Where are you? That might make it easier to find someone who would be willing to take her if you are set on getting rid of her. I might be interested if you were reasonably nearby (not likely - no one lives near us).

I have a 125 lbs akita that she plays rough with, but i don't know, she just keeps trying to get out. I'm planning on changing out sections of the fence. But i think my girl is set on getting rid of her. She's more attached to the akita. I love my husky she beautiful but It cost to much to get her out of the pound and i would be crushed if she was to get hit by a car.

Has she been fixed yet? That was the other question I was going to ask last night. lol That could certainly be a factor if she hasn't. I do wish you were close enough to send her our way - she is a beauty.

You can ship a dog. The owner will just buy a plane ticket for the dog and you can just pick it up at the airport. It has been done.

If she isn't in heat, she can still get the urge to roam a little. That is more so in males but females can be that way too. *Usually* a dog getting out is related to either activity level or social need. The hard part is to figure out which it is and how to figure out how to counter it. Good luck to you in figuring it out how to get her to stop. You might talk to your vet too - assuming you know him/her well enough that you feel comfortable doing so.

I have a full breed siberian huskey and its the best dog ive ever owned. Loyal, playful, and listens VERY well. Sure she loves to run, and she needs to be walked daily, but its part of the fun of having a dog. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
