Sony VGN-AW170Y 18.4 inch RGB LED Notebook
Amazing Sony VGN-AW170Y notebook for sale
For those who dont know the background about this laptop, it was developed with the professional photographer in mind.
Featuring an RGB LED screen that can be loaded with adobe profiles to give you the truest color reproduction possible. The screen is by far one of the best out there once calibrated and Apple cant even tough it
She came fully loaded but that wasnt quite enough for me Original specs 18.4 inch RGB LCD screen 4gb memory 9600M GT video card Intel 5100 wifi 1tb 4200 rpm drives Blu ray reader standard battery Usual assortment of bloatware and vista premium 64bit 3 year extended warranty Configured today (for the 290 model which is almost the same) would run you about $3200
I added or changed out the following T9800 (about $550) 8 Gb of Corsair DDR2 6400 memory (purchased new at Newegg for $359) 2 Seagate Momentus 7200.4 drives running in raid (about $130 per drive) Intel Wifi 5300 with third wire added for additional range Extended Sony battery which gets you over 3 hours $229 I will be including the original cpu and the hard drives for warranty purposes. its doubtful Sony would even notice but better to be safe than sorry. If they buyer chooses to sell them, then so be it. Standard battery included as well as the sony media center remote.
Software: I have the original recovery discs which I will restore to its original condition should the buyer choose. I can include them and also install only a fresh copy of Vista Ultimate 64 bit as well. This has over $1400 in retail upgrades that will leave you with a smoking fast laptop
So get a $4600 laptop with a 3 year warranty for $3200
