250 hp on 13lbs of boost? I am sorry but that is really sad. I know they are light cars but my car made almost 300 hp stock.

Car looks great but really seems like there is something wrong with the motor.

The stock 99 Blacktop SR20det puts down 252hp 243tq at 10psi with a T28 turbo. With everything else you have plus more boost, you put down the exact same power?

YOU GUYS ARE READING THE NUMBERS IN REAR WHEEL HORSEPOWER!!! NOT CRANK HORSEPOWER!!!

and no...youre wrong...the 99 blacktop puts down 165-170rwhp @ 7psi of boost (its rated at 210hp stock and it comes with a T25 thrust bearing turbo)...a stock 99 NOTCHTOP puts down 180-190rwhp @ 10psi of boost (its rated at 248hp stock with a T28 dual ball bearing turbo)...there is a big difference in these motors guys...blacktop is a 3rd gen redtop (S13 motor...S13 silvia and 180sx)...notchtop is the motor that came in the S14 and S15 (its called a notchtop because the valve cover has a bump hump in the center...it also uses VVTI on its intake cam...the S14 notchtop used a hybrid thrust/ball bearing turbo...S15 used a ball bearing turbo)...its like calling the VQ35de the same motor as the VQ35hr...they share the same name and some of the same internals...but are quite a bit different when you put them side by side

there is nothing wrong with my motor...252RWHP = OVER 300 AT THE CRANK!!! 16psi on a stock S14 turbo is about as much as the turbo can handle before it tapers off to a smaller PSI number at a higher RPM range...given the head and internals are bone stock...252rwhp is VERY good...car was dyno tuned and run on a MUSTANG DYNO...HP numbers are lower on those than on a dynojet...throw this car on a dynojet and you will prolly see it up around 280-290rwhp range...dynojets and mustang dynos read HP numbers differently...i perfer tuning on a mustang dyno as it puts a heavier load on the car and feels much more accurate

i wouldnt be asking 11,500 for a car with a bad motor...im very meticulous about my car and ive worked on A LOT of SRs in my 7 years of building 240s...i can tell you that this car is a very good and reliable car...think what you want...but i can assure you that i am not selling junk as some of you are trying to make it seem

I didnt know there was a differnce between blacktop and notchtop (they are both black). It does look like a clean car. I just always thought they had a little more power. I thought a heavily modified turbo 4 banger would at least have as much power as a stock 6 cylinder.

^^^ So 252RWHP for a modified turbo 4 banger is making more than a stock 05' G35 which makes about 243RWHP..

that about helps this situation.

I have seen stock 05/06 hit 250 rwhp. I put down 286 rwhp stock in my 6 cylinder.

I am not slamming the car. It looks great. I honestly don't know much about them and am just saying I thought they had more power.

But yes even with his turbo 4 cylinder with a page of mods still = about the same as a stock G35. I guess it would be a good trade then.

i suggest you load up a V35 or Z33 on a MUSTANG DYNO and check the output numbers...they will be considerably different than a FM chassis car on a dynojet

also one factor youre forgetting is WEIGHT...my 240 weighs in at 2855 with me in it (this was done on a truckers weight scale when i first got the car 3 years ago)...my coupe with a 165lbs driver weighs in roughly 300-500lbs LESS than a V35 or Z33 (V35 weighs more due to the rear seats and such as well)

and i suggest you guys do a little research on mustang dyno to dynojet comparisons before analyzing my car compared to an FM platform (currently my 240 is making OVER 140hp per liter when looking at crank power comparisons)...here is a little reading material to get you started that is located on this very forum

https://g35driver.com/forums/engine-...good-read.html

here is another example from a corvette forum for Z06 guys...

http://www.z06vette.com/forums/f55/m...dynojet-47063/

and should you buy my car...go out and purchase a GT28R or GT30R and some cams...watch what the HP numbers look like once you install and tune them...but i can tell you right now...my 240 pulls on FM cars VERY easily (the ONLY FM chassis car that has EVER pulled on me...and not by much...is a brand new GTR...it got about a car and a half on me off the line and started pulling slightly when we hit higher gears)...last time i ran my 240 in the 1/4 mile (which was over a year ago) i pulled a 12.875 down the strip

Don't let the haters jerk you around. They are just used to seeing 300-400 whp on the G/350z. The HP will probably drop to anywhere between 200-230WHP with 91 octane for CA people, but 250WHP is pretty decent nonetheless considering you're on stock block with stock turbo. Good luck
