For those of you that have installed their own subs and amp..how hard or how easy is it to install everything?

Ive been driving my new G for a week or so..and I really need my subs in there. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Ummm, I had a custom enclose built with some friends of mine and it took like a week, but that included fiberglass, vinyl, suede, etc....if u are gonna just do a regular box and and amp, i don't think that it would be too difficult. I did mine in about an hour and a half. Of course, I had everything set up to go when I started. I cut the wires, ran power wires, installed the sub, mounted the amp and was done in about 90 minutes. I was an installer once in my many lifetimes. The hardest part was tapping into the factory wiring. But if you are going all custom, its going to be awhile!

I built a box similar to those found on ebay. There is a really good writeup on how to wire it in as well. If you come on the 9th it sounds like you will have a couple different examples of how other people have done it.




On a side note, does anybody have an extra O2 sensor lying around? I had a cel pop up today and I am guessing thats what it is...(again) I will pull codes tomorrow to make sure thats what it is...Either way I need to get it fixed before the dyno! I dont know about everybody else but I am starting to get excited

 

yea, mine is completely custom. I originally had a custom box. But now i completely redid my whole trunk to JL Audio. If it is not a custom trunk and just a regualr box if can be done in a couple hours. You can just go buy the wiring kits.
