Brian - That's good to know. What amp do you have hooked up to it and where are you getting your input from? I bought a MTX REQ5 so I can tap in before the factory Bose amp.

Chris - Yeah, I hear its a pain. I ripped everything out already just waiting for my stupid rubber roller to come in so I can start, I hear it makes the job a lot easier.

Hope this helps out. I used the output wires and ran them into the high level of my amp for my Sub.

( I used to be a car stereo installer in my younger days for circuit city) One day I might do something with the stereo, but not anytime soon. A motor build will come before a dd headunit ever will!

If you have questions about install, You could ask, I may know!

Thanks Jeremy. Yeah I could do that, but the high level wires are after the Bose amp which does crazy things to the signal. And from what I've read here, its better to tap in before the amp. Here is a good thread that taought me a lot.

Definitely tap before the amp. There is a remote line in there as well. The levels are higher than a line level output but your amp should be able to handle it. My JL does.

I tapped before the amp as well. But when I actually replace the amp with a 4 channel to power new componets...I just might use the oem wires to save time and the pain of rewiring.

That is cool that they they have some stuff other than a line out converter and something that balances the signal. I looked into the JL cleansweep, but didnt want to pay the price.

If you are an experienced audio guy, you will notice the difference that those guys were talking about. I noticed it right away and wondered if it was me or my amp. Now I understand its the Headunit. Good Luck with it Max!
