I understood that they were different, but I dont see the gains in going with the more expensive set. Could you elaborate Arnab?

Well, the SPLs are shim based adjustment and they also put the adjustment bolts in tension(stress along the long axis of the bolt) instead of being in shear(stress across the diameter of the bolt). This will allow for greater lateral loading of the entire conrol arm. They are also machined out of a solid block instead of welding(induces much more stress and bending into the part). Also, shims are usually a better way(if designed properly) to adjust things than sliding grooves or slots.

The SPLs are also just "beefier" and have pivot bearings instead of shaft bushings like the SPCs. This allows for a litte more natual movement and allows for slight miss alignment with out any negative effects on the system.

There is nothing wrong with SPC(I am actually looking into these as well) but the SPL arms are just a better design from an engineering standpoint.

correct me if I am wrong. But these are my thoughts...

hope this helps.

Rambo nailed it. SPCs are very solid pieces too. I am definitely considering them as well. The SPLs are as Rambo said, better engineered for track duty and a bit more solid overall. Honestly speaking the SPCs are perfectly fine for everyday driving and tracking the SPLs just give you that extra degree of engineering for marginally improved performance. Not sure if it's worth the extra $225 yet based on my needs. But I only buy things once and Id rather just get them now if I anticipate I may need it in the future.

Great explination Guys! I do see the difference now thanks to the pics...and I agree that I couldnt justify the price difference for my car. If you guys get them, I would love to see them in person to see the engineering superiority.

DC-Sports Ceramic Headers

Im not sure when i will be installing these parts yet. Ill def post up pics of the installs.

MoRe to come...
ok guys, im wondering if i should really install these headers or not because ive been lookin at more vids & found that aftermarket headers produce more rasp than i thought it would, especially if i run resonated or non resonated test pipes. im not really a big fan of rasp, but i want more hp gains without FI, what do you guys think??

I have been reading that headers do not make that much difference on our machines

Here...jb's proper NA build. Look at what he's done and the final power results. IMO a NA build on our car is more about motor response than pure power. If you want #s, there's no way around FI on our cars. If you want a bit more power and a much more freely revving engine, you need to do a lot more than bolt-ons. Our cars tend to derive very little from basic bolt-ons.

You already have the spacer, I recommend a tried and true exhaust (HKS true dual, Motordyne, etc). Then you get sound and can control rasp easily with a proper choice. Aside from that, nothing basic bolt-on wise really gets you much more than marginal power. Yes the header will obviously make more than now, but for the money it's not worth it until you exhaust other options...

Or you could try Fast Intenions exhaust they have some really good resonators to cut down rasp.

^cool thanks for the info Arnab. jb's build is very nice, but im not lookin to do anything major. Seeing that our cars do not do much with these upgrades, i dont think i will install them unless i get an exhaust system. I've been lookin into the MD shockwave V2.
