I have thought about it, but I am a little intimidated since I have never been to a track before. I was thinking of maybe going as a spectator on a fun day first or either doing Mid Ohio track day thing they have, because the speed is limited and there is a lead car if you never been there before.

I thought MidOhio does not have the funday but just club days. But it would be nice if they have fundays too. Do you know when?

For Nelson Ledges, I was going to just register for a funday but it would be better to go as a spectator first. I never thought about that but that would be much safer than tracking unprepared.

Yeah, they didn't have anything like this before. I guess this is new for this year.

If you look they have three different classes depending on your expirience.

Yeah, going as a spectator first is definitely much more safe. At least I feel like that since I've never been to a track.

I think I might do the Mid Ohio program on June 16th. I've e-mailed them if there is anymore room.

I'll be out at pretty much every FunDay at the Ledges. It's a great course....and the fundays are usually pretty open. A really cheap, easy way to get on track.

Max....if it's your first time, it's all about attitude. There are plenty of people there willing to help, including myself, and the key is not to try and be a hero. If you're planning on getting into doing track days.....spend the money and take a real course, like Skip Barber or something at MidOhio, to learn oversteer/understeer, slide recovery, weight transfer, etc.

Hope to see some of you guys out at the Ledges

I'm definitely not going to try and be a hero lol Its one thing going to the Metroparks, and another going to the track. I'm definitely planning on taking some kind of a course in the future as I want to learn to be a better driver and know exactly how my car handles in different situation.

When do the fun days start and end at Nelson? I definitely want to come and check it out before actually doing it.

These are fundays at NL.

How many cars run on the track on a funday?

I've been there when 25 cars were there (split up between 3 run groups), and I've seen 75 cars there. Depends on the day.
