I just found out that my motor has the oil consumption problem bad.

I have two options.

1) Sell the car and eat the $5-6K it would cost between the differnce in price and down payment on a new car.

2) Spend $5-6K and do a full build.

If I do a build I would need help finding a donor motor and parts (to eliviate down time as I only have one car). I also, cannot afford $10K for a full build motor done by a shop and will be doing this build on my own for the most part. So If anyone has any options, experience, or sources for parts please let me know.

I would build it if you have the time.

Also, how much oil did it eat?

Are you sure you're out of the warranty? Did it run out recently? I have a 2006 and my power-train runs out September of next year.

Maybe if you call Infiniti and complain to them they will do something for you?

The reason I was asking how much oil it consumed, because I just changed mine and I had almost a quart gone in 3,000 miles. With 30,000 miles on the car.

I'm sure IPS motorsports here in Cbus can do it. They are LS masters. There is a kit made to put one in our cars.
