I feel you on that. Having any type of FI is painful. I had to get my car towed from columbus to louisville cause of my fuel issued cost be almost 700 dollars.

What made you decide to drive to Chicago for the install when there is sucha capable shop (Slowmotion) in Columbus? That is definitely where i'd take my car if i were still in Ohio...
I would of taken it there, but the guy quoted me a price including install and wouldn't really come down on the cost if he shipped it. I'm gonna have them tune it shortly. How did you straighten the intercooler? Did you redrill the left side bracket or have the right side piping bent less?

We couldn’t pressurize the system without that special vac that the dealer had

gotcha - makes sense i suppose

I'm not sure how they plan to straighten it, my car is in the shop getting some body work done and they are going to straighten it for me - should know more on Friday

Pressurize without a special vac? Weve done Dals a few times with just a few hand tools in some random parking lots.

Thats what I was talking about when I said the front radiator filler cap had to be higher than the rear release valve...thats what we did with dals and then Phira and I did with mine after I blew a radiator hose.

did you ever figure out what caused the radiator hose to give? was it pressure? old hose? Heat? -mine was heat...and then I heat wrapped everything and all is good now.

We thought we had the front end up high enough, maybe we just didn't do it correct. (see what happens when I roll with a different crew) I haven't taken the supercharger mounting plate off yet to see the actual cause, we just rerouted the hose.

gotcha...my issue was the down pipe was touching the lower radiator hose and the heat eventually burned a hole in it.

glad to hear it all worked out...let us all know when you come get a tune...and a few of us might come hang out.

I probably won’t get that done until after I get back from Jamaica. Although I am curious what she is going to put down.
