I was cruising around with Chavez Friday night, tearing up some asphalt and letting my exhaust echo off buildings when I came up with a great Idea.

I think we need to get a meet together where we all go do some go-carting. Not just 5hp, top speed of 8mph junk ones, I am talking an all out kind of cart that goes crazy fast and then we can have a contest to see who can get the fastest times.

Here is some I found:

Airport Go-Karts in Cleveland, Ohio (oh)
Name: Airport Go-Karts
Street: 16208 Brookpark Road
Cleveland, oh 44135-3341
Phone: (216) 265-0750

Can anyone say Cars and Coffee with SwitchCars then Carting?
CLEVELAND MEET!!!!

Bash, Plumber or any of you guys up north want to check this place out? I could not find anymore info than it has the fastest circle track and carts for 16years old and up so that means faster carts.

Anyone else know of any other places in Ohio that has a road course track with full size carts, post up the info!

Not to burst any bubbles but I've been looking for a decent go kart place around the area for years and that place doesn't seem to be it. These karts accelerate so quickly that they'll top out in no time (28mph according to the website - and this is not that fast, even for a kart), and then it'll just be a case of bumper cars at speed (because these karts supposedly have speed governors, I doubt you can do drafting... should you bother trying). I think the closest decent kart place is the one in Indiana that Dal had on one of his FB albums (dunno if he still does).

On a side note, if you guys haven't tried racing karts, I highly recommend you try if given the opportunity. Just be careful as it can get very addictive and very expensive I think most decent places I've been to charge somewhere between $25-40 per race, and each race lasts only about 5-7 minutes.

WTF?!? Are they putting race gas in those things? I think I'd have more fun putting that in my own gas tank (the money that is)

I will try to get something put together for June or July and post up for a Cleveland meet. In the meantime, I just posted about cars and coffee on the 21st if anyone is interested in that.

I went to the place in Indiana last summer during the Jawbreaker road rally, it was a blast. It's a indoor, but the track is really fun.

The other two places that I know of are....
http://www.ckra.org/
http://www.beaverun.com/

I don't know what the pricing is though, or what needs to be done to rent a go kart.

I've looked at that Airport Go Kart place before, they have a oval lap which doesn't seem like it would be any fun.
