it figures that aftewr a year of sitting i take the civic to echeck and the lady looks under for the cat for the first time... so i had to convince her my resonator was a cat and she reluctantly smog tested it ( fully built engine with absolutely nothing emissions related on it) and i passed by a wide margin. i think echeck is a waste of time and needs to be abolished but what can ya do.

do you know if straight pipes on the g will throw a code?
it does on a civic due to 2 sensors inline reading the same (one precat one post cat), but due to the placement and design of a g i think it might just work fine

 

I dont know if strait pipes will or not...my codes are thrown for being boosted! hahahaha

There are a few guys with HFCs that occasionally throw a code...

I'd go but I was in town last weekend and won't be back to Cleveland for a couple weeks. I see Hondas with fart cans all the time on the west side of Cleveland, it's pretty much a necessity. I don't know if the exhaust goes much further than having an obnoxious tip, but my girlfriend always yells at me when I point them out lol.

As far as the e-check, I'm pretty sure it is a biannual thing for Cleveland. I think it goes by the year of your car, as in if your car is an even year(eg. 2004) you need to have the e-check done during the even years (eg. Next year in 2012). At least I think it's something like that.

YeloFva, we will stop off at Royalton Rd. There is a BP just west of I-77 that we can meet up at. I imagine we will make it there about 8:15.

TechCase, I am not sure what part of Cleveland you are from. If you are north of 480, you can probably just meet us there or if you want to ride in with us then you could drop down to Royalton Rd. It's probably a good five miles or more south of 480. If anyone else is wanting to go let me know.
