Cleveland Cars and Coffee 5/21

Anyone interested in cars and coffee? I am planning on going 5/21 along with Jason (who bought my old G) and Mike (early 90's 911). Anyone else want to join?

Well for one.....IT RAINS TOO MUCH!

There's no point in washing my car because it'll just rain 10 minutes later. Other than that it's not too bad here, but then again I'm coming from El Paso, TX. Lol! Driving downtown is like driving through a mine field. There's potholes everywhere. I have a question though. Are aftermarket exhuast illegal here? I have not come across one slightly modified car with an aftermarket exhaust. Not even an occasional cheesy civic.

Up there I think they have e-check so that may cut down on some of them but other than that I don't think so. If you would have been down in canton today at the dyno meet you would have seen a lot of them. Once summer hits it won't rain quite as much and most of the roads should be fixed. You will probably see more modified cars out and about after that.

Modifying cars are not illegal here, but like Grant stated, there are few counties that preform echecks. That doesnt mean your car will come up, it might be just older cars or gas hogs. That also doesnt mean you can swap back to your oem right before smog checks.

So are smog checks like an annual thing along the lines of registration & car inspections? I might be exempt since my car is still registered in TX with plates & all. Hopefully I can keep it that way.

iwith my civic i pass every time even if they smog test and i have a fully built engine. echeck is a joke its just another useless government program. basically for the g all they will do is make sure it has a cat (5% of the time if you get a real bitch) and then plug in something to the obd2 port and if there isnt a check engine light your good. the only thing that would cause a code with an exhaust is straight pipes (no cats) but im not sure if that will even throw a code with the exhaust design on the g. ohio is full of pot holes its garbage but PA is worse so atleast you didnt have to move out there.

and as far as a meet id be down for something let me know the details and ill see what i can swing
