Actually they may end up being 35lbs with tires.

Tell him to send you a picture of a wheel in your size on a scale. 22 lbs my fcking a$$ for a 20" wheel that looks multipiece and not forged multipiece to boot. That wheel is probably near 30lbs if not more. With tires it's a hell of a lot more than 35lbs as most larger/wider tires don't weigh 15lbs anyways.

For reference, my 19" Monoblock forged Volk CEs are just under 20 lbs for 19x9.5 and ~21lbs for a 19x10.5. Volk TEs and REs are similar weights for 19s in similar widths...again forged monoblock aluminum wheels that are considered among the lightest in the industry. I highly doubt those are anywhere near 22lbs...

The guy is either confused or straight up lying to your face. Those wheels look heavy as ***** and likely are so. If that's your cup of tea, by all means buy them, but know the specs and ask for proof when being bull$hittted so blatantly.

Edit:
Here is the amazon specs for the 22x9"...34lbs a piece.

Here are the specs for a 20x8.5" of a different design...32lbs a piece.

the Lurking Dr. Kanob strikes again!

and Em...post up pics here if you would like. But if you want proper responses, start a new thread as I am sure people would like to see multiple pics of your G and even (if possible) your vids from autocrossing. Your pics/vids might get lost in this this discussion.

I didn't mean to strike again. I just was laughing at the fact the guy told her a 20x8.5 wheel that likely isn't forged weighed 22lbs...just doesn't seem possible. Just made me chuckle. Figured someone should tell the OP instead of go with it...
