* * * * * * * * * * * * * NED BURDEN’S BATTLE
*
This is a story about a young man named Ned Burden. He goes by the name of “Bud”. *Bud was a normal teenager in his second year of college living the American dream. He just turned 21 years old last December. He was a sophomore at OSU majoring in welding engineering, with a bright future ahead of him.
*
Bud was experiencing some lower back pain last summer while working on a farm. *It continued to bother him most of the summer, but he figured that with time, it would all get better. After returning to college last fall, the pain finally became unbearable. One evening after classes last fall, * he had to have one of his roommates take him to the emergency room at the Ohio State Hospital. * Within 3 days of this emergency room visit Ned’s world was turned upside down and inside out.
*
Bud was diagnosed with a very rare cancer called Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor. This type of cancer is so rare that there is no “standard” form of treatment. Ned has had several rounds of chemotherapy since last fall. He has also had major resection surgery to remove all of the existing tumors. *Not all of the tumor(s) were removed due to their location(s) * He is being treated at M. D. *Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas. * Bud has to go there about every 12 weeks for follow up care. Bud will be traveling back to Houston on July 24th for new scans to see if the latest Chemo treatment is working.
*
*Although we are still in the midst of a large battle, we thank everyone for their help, support and prayers.

Ned SR is a good buddy of mine took care of me when I poured Iron at the Anna Engine Plant I had a chance to hang with his family when they were at Childrens Hospital. I know we all wash our own cars but we could make a donation to a good cause and help to draw people and cars to there function. So give me some feedback on how we can get some cars together to ride up there and represent !!!!
hmmm, as my best friend (27) just found out he has a cancerous brain tumor, I will make a strong attempt to make this. Let me check the calender and with the woman....who else is coming?! We just gonna roll up and make our own mini car show?
Thanks Chris, it would be nice to put together a nice roll in like we did for the Slomo Meet.

I just made a facebook event page and invited us and some of my other (90+) friends! Lets blow this up! Invite anyone with a car or motorcycle! Lets give back to those in need!
Bless him and his family. Obviously won't be there as I'm in WA, but I see the paypal.
Just went through transplant and know how taxing this can be.
Hope it all works out for him like it did for me.
