I am interested in having a formal club meeting February 11th before the Driven with Purpose committee meeting.

I would like to set up some people that would be interested in helping out this year. Normally, I get things going but I have a ton on my plate this year. It would be great to see some other people step up and make this club better than I can do alone. Just today, someone made a comment that if I was to fade away, so would the club. I would hate that to be true, so this is my attempt to change things. Post up here if you would like to do the following:

Events coordinator (3 at the minimun) to handle events and make them run well

Website design (we need our own website, we own the name, but need a great front page that links both the forums and this page together.

Mission statement (to define our purpose and keep it updated)

Advertising/ marketing person (clothing, shirts, cards, calenders, etc)

Administrator (paperwork if there is ever any, to include sponsorship letters...)

Promoter (to find innovative ways to promote the club and create a positive image of our name with the automotive community, such as finding other forums to promote our club))

Membership Manager (Some to keep contact and maintain contact information of members)

These are just ideas, but it would be great to see some changes, but positive changes. Last year I was dissapointed by turnouts to minor events and some of the major events...but it is what it is. I do understand about daily life. I struggle too but I push through it for you guys. This club is something that I have grown to love and want to see it continue.

Something we will discuss at the meeting is how we will handle the future. I talked last year of creating a TEAM OGC to allow our club to grow while including other quality cars in our community. I was thinking of a name change and simply making it the Driven with Purpose Car Club. It can be a club that includes other quality cars and people, but not focused on any one brand/manufacturer. Then we can use this group to also give back to events in some way as the name suggest. Thoughts? Bring them to the meeting.

Jeremy, I'm not sure how much I will be able to help with all the hours I am working and keeping up with the four kids. I may be able to help out a time or two on specific events throughout the year.

 

I'd like to help out with event coordination and could do administration also as needed.
